Zenith Egypt retains Reckitt Benckiser brief

Reckitt Benckiser has retained Zenith Egypt to its regional media planning and buying account.

The ZenithOptimedia Group-owned branch was re-appointed as the global giant’s agency of record for Egypt and North Africa following the group’s annual pitch last year.

Marking their fifth year working together, the renwed partnership will see the Zenith team developing content creation and activations for Reckitt Benckiser’s brands including Dettol, Strepsils and Vanish,  alongside their planning and buying role.

“We are proud to have a valuable client like Reckitt Benckiser in our portfolio. It was fierce competition this year involving well-established agencies, and we managed to retain the business. We consider Reckitt Benckiser as a partner and not just a client. Hopefully, 2016 will be another successful year for both of us,” says Ali Basma, business managing director, Zenith Egypt.

“We are happy to extend Reckitt Benckiser’s partnership with ZenithOptimedia into another year. Together we will accelerate further the construction of our brands in Egypt”, added Fabian Hohbach, general manager, Reckitt Benckiser, Egypt and North Africa.

Last year, UM MENA walked away with the group’s media planning and buying brief for the Middle East, one of the top three FMCG advertisers in the region.
