Wunderman set to expand on back of digital growth

Wunderman is set to expand its workforce across the Middle East and North Africa by 12 per cent.

The expansion comes on the back of a number of significant account wins and continued organic growth, with the increase in staff equating to more than 20 new employees spread across the network.

The recent account wins include Saudi Telecom subsidiary Intigral, Etihad Rail and TransCash. The new employees will be spread across multiple disciplines, but will include a new community manager and a number of creatives.

Nassib Boueri, chief executive officer for Wunderman and Y&R in the Middle East and Africa, said: “Over the past few years, we have shifted our business model increasingly towards digital and activation. This was helped by our major global clients and the Wunderman global positioning as a leading digital network within WPP. This required a major shift in internal culture and skillset, which has proved to be the right approach and has resulted in major wins for us in the last year. On the back of these recent wins and organic growth driven by key client partners, we foresee an expansion of our team by around 12 per cent across the region by mid-2012.”

Wunderman, part of WPP, lies within Menacom in the Middle East. It has offices in Dubai, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Jordan, Egypt and Lebanon.
