UAE’s first Arabic nostalgic music station -ZAIN FM

UAE’s most heard Radio Stations – Al Murad Group’s Channel 4 Radio Network – with 3.8 million daily listeners (IPSOS Feb 2020), now gears up to launch their Fifth Radio Station – ZAIN FM. This will be their 2nd Arabic Language station.

Mr. Abdulla Mohammed Al Murad, Chairman of Al Murad Group, reasoned the birth of this station as: “Every story, every incident, every era is incomplete without Music, which in a way defines not just the people, but generations. While people may call it Retro, true connoisseurs of music call it the Golden Era Music! We want to bring back this Music in the air waves of UAE!

As the name suggests, ZAIN FM aims to take people into the state of calmness, composure, inner peace and nostalgia amidst day to day life.

“If everyone believes that the key buyer or decision maker in a typical Arab family is 35+ Male/ Female, then why isn’t there a radio station that targets them? This demographic is huge and untapped so far – with as many as 1 million people! ZAIN FM will engage this audience group and take our advertiser brands, services and products to them.” – quoted Channel 4 Network Sales Director – Mohammed Jundi.

The Arabic Nostalgia radio station will aim to target the Expat and Emirati Arabic population, in the 35+ age group, that grew up on the Music from that Era.

The music playlist for the station will be created with the devout Arabic music listeners and follower from the Middle East and will have the biggest ever collection of Songs from that Era which ranges from 60s to late 90s”, said Al Rabia & Zain FM Program Director – Philippe Riachy

Channel 4 Radio Network aims to leave no stone unturned to make it reach to their target audiences in the following months by activating and promoting the channel content across social, digital platforms and various musical events.

Zain FM launches on 5th April 2020 will be available across the UAE on 103.2 FM.
