Travel, social media and a fist full of shawarmas

The Emirati founders of the Wild Peeta chain of shawarma restaurants are experimenting with an interactive travel series guided by social media.

Peyman and Mohamed Al Awadhi’s production company, Qabeela New Media, has teamed up with Dubai One to shoot a new social media travel series called Peeta Planet. The show follows the two Emirati brothers as they travel the world guided by their followers on social media.

Twelve 21-minute episodes that have been commissioned by Dubai Media Incorporated, the parent company of Dubai One, will be shot during March and May, with the show beginning to air on Dubai One in April. Twenty-four five-minute webisodes and content for Google+, Facebook and Twitter will support the series.
