TikTok invites the industry to “Open Day at The Hive”

There’s been a lot of debate in the industry about how to combine engaging events with responsible social distancing. The two are often seen as fundamentally incompatible.

Let’s say you have a launch like TikTok For Business in the Middle East. How do you show off the video-sharing platform’s B2B offering to the market? You’re going to need a cool venue with a main stage, booths and break-out rooms, but you also need it to be sanitised, Covid-free and safe.

TikTok has found itself such a venue – and named it “The Hive, a place that will allow the brand to virtually host all its TikTok For Business events, incorporating a resource centre, networking areas and more.

Suitable for small-scale training sessions and giant conferences alike, the complex is flexible and resource-filled. And it’s easy to get to too. TikTok Hive is a virtual space, coming soon to a laptop near you.

Appropriately the brand is kicking things off on a large scale to introduce TikTok For Business to the MENAT market. This Wednesday, 9 September, it is hosting an Open Day for  small and medium-sized businesses, marketers, brand managers, creative and media agencies and anyone else who is interested in the opportunities for using TikTok to drive growth and revenue for them or their clients.

Sign up for the open day here.

The two-hour Open Day aims to introduce TikTok’s new business services and answer any questions the marketing community has about them.

Following a keynote from Shant Oknayan, the brand’s MENAT general manager, virtual attendees will be able to click themselves into seven breakout sessions that will run concurrently.

Breakout sessions will cover:

The sessions will be moderated live, and the speakers – all experts from within the TikTok For Business team – will take questions from attendees. Of course, if you are in one session and miss another, you can catch up with the recording in your own time.

‘Booths’ will also be staffed by the TikTok For Business team, ready to give demonstrations and answer questions that fall under the following topics:

There will also be a resource centre where attendees can view and download content, areas to chat to other virtual delegates, ‘plenary rooms’ for one-on-one conversations, and more.

The presentations will be short and to-the point, with none scheduled to last more than half an hour.

The event itself is designed to give a broad overview, and will introduce the many facets of TikTok For Business to the market.

The team behind it – at TikTok and Dubai-based digital agency Netizency – hope it will give the industry a chance to engage with the brand and start conversations.

It’s an Open Day with an open invite, so sign up, come along and meet the TikTok For Business team. The event promises to be informative, insight-filled and to-the-point. You’ll have to brew your own coffee, but you don’t need to wear a mask. Or even shoes. And parking is a cinch. Campaign will be covering the Open Day on social and in a post-event write-up. We’ll see you there.
