Three magazines suspended

So, Dubai-based publishing company ENG Media is to stop publication of its titles, according to the Kippreport.

The magazines are Media Week, Insider, and men’s title IQ. The Kippreport article states that the ‘temporary suspension’ of the titles has been implemented while ENG fights a legal case with Fujairah Media, the free zone through which the magazines are licensed.

The article goes on to state that a letter seen by the Kippreport says ENG has been advised by its lawyers to temporarily suspend publishing “to avoid any forceful scenarios in the future.” It is understood that Fujairah Media and ENG are suing each other over financial disputes.

Sounds like a handy excuse to close failing titles if you ask me.
