Steadman takes over as head of TBWA\Raad’s Digital Arts

Major Steadman has taken over as the head of TBWA\Raad’s Digital Arts Network following the departure of Preethi Mariappan.

Steadman, who was previously digital director at Saatchi & Saatchi Dubai and moved to the emirate in 1999, will oversee a team responsible for creating, building and implementing all digital offerings across the TBWA\Raad group.

“Steadman’s creativity and expertise in the digital sphere brings a new dimension to Digital Arts’ offering in the region,” said TBWA\Raad’s chief operating officer Reda Raad. “The team has had an incredibly successful year in 2012, being the only MENA agency to win at Cannes Lions 2012 in the mobile category, and we look forward to supporting Steadman’s plans to raise the bar into 2013.”

Steadman succeeds Mariappan, who quit the UAE for Germany in August, transferring to TBWA Hamburg. Under her leadership the Digital Arts team won two golds at Cannes in June for Red Tomato Pizza’s ‘VIP fridge magnet’. It was the first time TBWA\Raad had won gold at Cannes.
