PHD wins Abu Dhabi Ports Company media brief

PHD has won the media buying and planning account for Abu Dhabi Ports Company (ADPC) following a competitive pitch.

The account will be handled by PHD’s Abu Dhabi office, with the agency tasked with establishing a communications strategy that will help APDC fulfil its goals as part of the Abu Dhabi 2030 strategic plan. ADPC will be active across a number of countries and will target audiences in a range of business sectors.

The appointment of PHD follows ADPC’s calling of a creative advertising pitch in June, which was won by the Abu Dhabi office of Impact BBDO.

“We’re putting all the pieces of our puzzle into place and have now made a crucial appointment to allow us to reach our intended audiences wherever they are in the most effective manner,” said Kevin Storey, senior marketing manager, industrial zones, ADPC. “We’re convinced that PHD has what it takes and more to ensure our goals are reached. This process has not only demonstrated the quality of their thinking process and technical abilities, but also their resourcefulness and level of passion for the task ahead.”

Abu Dhabi Ports Company was formed by decree in 2006 and is a master developer and regulator of ports and industrial zones. Its projects include the multi-billion dollar Khalifa Port and Industrial Zone.

“Winning an account like ADPC’s against such a robust field of competitors is a double reward for the hard work the team has put into this process and will keep on putting,” said Fadi Chamat, general manager of PHD Abu Dhabi.

“From the get-go, we knew it was a challenge we wanted to manage and, thanks to the energy of our team here and around the globe, we’re thrilled to now be able to help turn the vision into a reality. The ramifications of this account in the whole local economy are enormous so it’s a fantastic assignment with which we’re proud to be entrusted.”
