Najjar leaves position as FP7 CEO after just 16 months

FP7’s CEO for the UAE, Kamil Najjar, has left the agency after just over a year in the position.

It is not known who will replace Najjar, a former marketing director at P&G, or if the position of CEO for the UAE will be continued. Najjar had joined the agency in February last year following a shake-up of the agency’s senior management – a shake-up that had seen his predecessor, Azmi Yafi, and a number of other high-ranking staff leave the agency.

Tarek Miknas, CEO of the FP7 Group, said: “A dear personal friend and a dear friend of the agency, Kamil has decided to leave FP7 and move on to a brand new career. He has made an enormous contribution to FP7 UAE and to our clients and leaves a strong legacy of thoughtful leadership and of loyalty to FP7 UAE.”

His departure is the latest in a long list of changes to have taken place at parent company MCN since October last year, when MCN restructured its senior management following a strategic review. The changes have included the appointment of Tarek Miknas as the CEO of the FP7 Group, and the arrival of Fadi Yaish as executive creative director of FP7/DXB.
