Memac Ogilvy wins Google PR brief for the UAE

Memac Ogilvy PR has won Google’s public relations account for the UAE.

The agency will work in partnership with the Dubai-based Google team and will be responsible for supporting Google’s communications in the region. An undisclosed number of agencies were involved in the pitch, although incumbent Ketchum Raad Middle East declined to re-pitch.

Ronald Howes, managing director of Memac Ogilvy & Mather, said: “Google is one of the most exciting and innovative brands in the world.Google products and services sit at the core of our everyday lives and have the ability to inspire and enhance our ex-periences. We look forward to being a part of the Google family and supporting Google’s mission to make information accessible to all.”

Google had been working with Ketchum Raad Middle East for more than two years, although it is not known why the account was put up for pitch or why Ketchum declined to re-pitch. Memac Ogilvy PR is part of the Memac Ogilvy Group.
