Memac Ogilvy Label wins region’s first Grand Clio

Memac Ogilvy Label has become the first regional agency to win a grand prix at the Clio Awards in New York.

The Tunis-based agency won in the innovative media category for its ‘Return of Ben Ali‘ campaign for Engagement Citoyen, which also collected a haul of golds across multiple categories at the Dubai Lynx in March.

‘The Return of Ben Ali’ also landed gold in out-of-home, silver in content and contact, and bronze in both PR and online film. The only other regional winner was Memac Ogilvy Dubai, which landed a bronze in out-of-home for its ‘Pixelated Truth’ for Reporters Without Borders. Both agencies’ wins contributed to Ogilvy & Mather being named Network of the Year.

“Every year, we are amazed by the quality and quantity of entries we receive and this year was no different. Clio juries saw an array of innovative work from all over the world. Yet, Clio statue winners are a cut above,” said Clio director Karl Vontz. “In this rapidly-changing industry, CLIO Award winners are the people who are changing the way we think about creativity every day.”

This year’s Clio Awards received 11,000 entries and the winners will receive their awards at the 53rd Clio Awards on 15 May at New York City’s American Museum of Natural History.
