Lineveldt and Saatchi & Saatchi to go their separate ways

Saatchi & Saatchi’s regional creative director, Marc Lineveldt, is to depart the agency.

Lineveldt, who joined the agency from FP7 in September 2009, will remain in the UAE until the summer before heading overseas. It is not yet known who will replace him or why he is leaving.

Adil Khan, CEO of Saatchi & Saatchi MENA, said: “After seven years in the region, Marc has decided that it is time to end his Middle East adventure and head for pastures new with his family. When Marc came to us, he was open about the fact that Saatchi & Saatchi would be his last stint in the Middle East and we are thankful for the great work and leadership he has given us during his time here.

“The international nature of our marketplace can be a mixed blessing. While we benefit greatly from the very best global talent the UAE attracts, equally, there comes a time when these international high-fliers decide it is time to move on.”

News of Lineveldt’s departure follows on from Saatchi & Saatchi’s recent consolidation of its offices in Saudi Arabia, with its Riyadh and Jeddah operations now under one management. Mazen Mehio has been appointed managing director overseeing both offices.
