Leo Burnett wins big at MENA Cristals

Leo Burnett dominated a one‐sided awards show at the MENA Cristal Festival last night, winning three Grand Cristals and six Cristals at the first of two awards shows being held in Mzaar, Lebanon.

Winners in the production, promo and direct, cyber and mobile, and media categories were announced last night, with Leo Burnett winning nine of the 20 Cristals awarded. Its sister agency Starcom won four in the media category. Impact BBDO won three, OMD landed two, and JWT, M&C Saatchi, Mindshare and Buzzman won one apiece. Leo Burnett won all of the Grand Cristals dished out on the night courtesy of its ´No Rights No Women´and ´Fake it all´campaigns.

The awards were the result of judging that took place at  the Cristal Festival in Crans Montana, Switzerland, last December. Apart from the performance of Leo Burnett, the evening was notable for the low number of awards. There was no Grand Cristal in the production category and the majority of sub categories saw no awards at all.

The winners in the film, print, print craft, radio, outdoor and integrated categories, which were judged earlier this week, will be announced tonight, along with advertising agency, advertising network and media agency of the year.
