Leo Burnett seeks to expand influence

Leo Burnett has promoted two of its longstanding employees as it seeks to expand the influence of the Leo Burnett Group across the region.

With immediate effect, Kamal Dimachkie takes on the role of executive regional managing director, in charge of the UAE, Kuwait, Qatar and the Lower Gulf region. Filling his previous role of managing director of the UAE is Jean Traboulsi, who was Dimachkie’s deputy and has been with the company for 22 years.

Dimachkie has been tasked with replicating the success he has created in the UAE and expanding the influence of the group across Kuwait, Qatar and the Lower Gulf.

“We have a strong belief in nurturing talent within Leo Burnett and rewarding excellent performance with the possibility for growth and development,” said Raja Trad, CEO of Leo Burnett Group MENA. “Both Kamal and Jean have demonstrated that they are capable, driven individuals and key components to the successful advancement of the Leo Burnett Group in the Middle East and beyond. I am confident that, in their new positions, they will realise further accomplishments for Leo Burnett, and I wish them the best of luck and every success.”

Dimachkie added: “Leo Burnett is now firmly established in the UAE, giving us the ability to demonstrate that the communications game can be played at a whole new level. Jean is a person who I have worked closely with for many years, and I am confident that he will take the agency to new heights. I will be focusing my attentions on the specific areas in which we can bring even greater value to our clients, creating regional opportunities for not only Leo Burnett, but for our clients and their brands to grow as well.”
