JWT Dubai parts company with another ECD

JWT Dubai is without an executive creative director once again following the departure of Christian Khoury.

Khoury, who was formerly creative director of Leo Burnett Dubai, had only been in the job since July. He had filled the vacancy left by the departure of Russell Heubach, who himself had parted company with the agency in May after less than eight months in the job. Heubach, who was previously with Publicis Mojo in Australia, had joined JWT last November in order to take over from the Dubai office’s long-term ECD, Chafic Haddad, who has been tasked with turning around JWT Saudi Arabia.

JWT confirmed that Khoury has left the agency, although it would not comment further. It is not known under what circumstances Khoury departed.

Since Haddad’s departure at the end of last year, JWT Dubai has had trouble finding a replacement ECD, with many of its creative teams leaving for other agencies, including Y&R, TBWA\Raad and DDB.

JWT was named network of the year at the Dubai Lynx in March.
