Impact BBDO wins Axiom ad account

Impact BBDO has won the integrated marketing communications brief for UAE-based Axiom Telecom.
The appointment coincides with Axiom’s renewed drive to expand its customer base and retail outlets and is the end result of a phased pitch between four agencies.

Faisal Abdulaziz Al Bannai, Axiom Telecom’s CEO, said: “We need to guarantee that the brand has a strategic and effective marketing and communications programme in place. With this in mind, we took the decision to appoint Impact BBDO. By working with the agency, we will continue to raise our profile and communicate effectively across the region and beyond.”

Axiom Telecom is the largest retailer and distributor of mobile phones, tablets and accessories in the Gulf. The company said that it will be Axiom’s differentiated offerings and understanding of its customer’s needs that will be at the forefront of future growth and thus its communication and marketing.
Talal Sheikh Elard, general manager at Impact BBDO, added: “Unlike others, Axiom offers a truly unique proposition in the market, and we are excited to be in a position to help deliver greater, more effective awareness of its offerings, to new audiences and sources of business.

“We very much look forward to working with the Axiom team to support the brand in the achievement of each and every one of its business objectives. We believe this partnership will deliver the kind of integrated approach that sparks smarter, more engaging, more effective campaigns, and we expect great things to come.”

Impact BBDO has been on something of a winning streak of late, winning the consolidated Etisalat creative account earlier in the year and a number of other briefs. It is currently hiring and is also in the process of changing the structure and make up of its creative department.
The agency’s Beirut office won two grands prix at the Dubai Lynx in March for it’s ‘A heritage worth reviving’.
