Hug wins HMD Global (Nokia) digital brief

Hug Digital has signed with HMD Global, the exclusive licensee of the Nokia brand for mobile phones and tablets, as its digital marketing communications agency across social, community management, creative and listening services.

Hug will handle the brand’s social assets while providing content creation, community management, full-fledged digital campaigns, reporting, research and web listening.

“Nokia is a truly iconic, globally recognized and trusted brand. We are proud and honored to be uniting with HMD Global as their communication partner across MENA as it begins this exciting new chapter for Noki-branded mobile phones and tablets,” said Hussein M. Dajani, Hug’s chief operating officer.

HMD Global is working on plans which include having all future Nokia-branded smartphones and tablets run on the Android operation system.
