House of Comms wins Dubai Opera House account

Independent communications agency House of Comms has been appointed by Dubai Opera to handle its public relations.

The Dubai-based agency will handle media relations for the 2,000 capacity theatre as well as its line-up of events.

Based in Downtown, the opera house will be Dubai’s first multi-format performing arts space, and owner Emaar has confirmed that it will be open this year.

Abby Wilks, managing partner at House of Comms, said: “When you work in PR, people always ask you who would be your dream client.  For me – this is it, and then some.

“Dubai Opera is creating a central cultural destination for live performance for the Middle East, attracting the world’s best artists and productions to the region. The quality and variety of the programme, the accessibility of the shows and the fact that they will be spreading happiness to anyone who steps foot inside makes this a PR’s dream.”
