FP7/DXB wins brief for Saudi digital start-up

FP7/DXB has won the launch brief for an as-yet- undisclosed new digital business in Saudi Arabia.

The agency won the brief following a multi-agency pitch in Dubai earlier in 2015 with the new digital start-up’s communications business integrated across FP7/DXB and its other network and sister agencies. These include FP7/KSA, media agency UM and public relations agency Weber Shandwick in Saudi Arabia.

The chief brand officer of the new venture is Ash Banerjee, former vice-president of brand development at du.

Sasan Saeidi, managing director of FP7 UAE, said: “We have had the pleasure and opportunity to partner with some great marketers that have genuinely created something the region has never seen before. It’s in pre- launch gestation and because of confidentiality we can’t say more. But it’s one of the most interesting assignments we’ve ever had. We are all confident that it’s going to be a really game-changing brand in the region with several world firsts.”

The company is expected to launch later this year.

FP7 has 16 offices across 14 countries and is headquar- tered in Dubai. It was the runner-up agency in Cam- paign’s The Annual, in December. It was also named the most effective agency at the MENA Effies, won 33 awards at the Dubai Lynx and grew its annual billings by 9 per cent in 2015.
