Etisalat calls agency review

Telecommunications company Etisalat has called a review of its creative advertising account in the UAE. The review is understood to be in the very early stages, with an RFP yet to be sent out to the agencies that have been contacted by the company.

Haitham Al Kharusi, vice president of marketing communication at Etisalat, confirmed that the review had been initiated. “We are in the process of reviewing our advertising agencies to find out what is the best out there in the market, since we haven’t pitched the account in over three years,” said Al Kharusi.

The incumbents on the account are Impact BBDO, which Al Kharusi said the company had been working with for three years, and Lowe MENA, which has worked with Etisalat for the past two years.

Etisalat is one of the largest telecommunications companies in the world and is headquartered in the UAE. It operates in 18 countries across Asia, the Middle East and Africa, servicing more than 100 million customers.
