Coca-Cola kicked off its ‘Wish upon a Coke’ campaign on 22 December 2014 at Terminal 1 of Dubai Airport. Through a one-day activation, it sought to delight those flying back home in the peak holiday season in need of extra baggage allowance.
The video (above) features several people from overseas at the airport checking in their baggage to return home. Coca-Cola promoters approached those struggling with excess baggage and offered them a bottle of the beverage. When a second label on the bottle added on for the exercise was removed, they discovered an excess baggage tag for 5 kilos

This is a very good strategy of advertising of coca cola solving consumer problems at right away. Showing that coca cola is made for spreading happiness among people. This would be beneficial towards the company in the long-term for generations to come. Unlike pepsi we see coca cola involved more in a direct consumer relationships. Both being the same products with different strategies to attract its consumers. This strategy will let people to think that coca cola company is trying to do what a humanitarian organisation would be. This would also attract people who give away charities. Making the consumers think that when buying a coca cola they are also giving donations to those people in need. In addition, this is a way to attract some people who are criticising the coca cola company. Overall, this is an amazing way to show the world that coca cola is not only making soda, but is also trying to make people happy.
I love you Coco cola for bringing happiness to those poor souls.Many a time I had to cry when I was not able to take things for my family. I wish I am lucky like these people for my contract is getting over and I am going back for final in July.I hope and pray that coco cola comes to my rescue too.
