Selda has had an impressive impact elevating the overall performance of the digital accounts she handled with D3, achieving a 25 per cent increase in total engagement in 2017 compared to 2016. The In5 account witnessed a massive increase in total engagement in 2019 compared to 2018 with a 2,193% year on year growth and Dubai Internet City digital channels saw a whopping 5,784% increase in total engagement in 2020 so far, compared to 2019.

Career highlights

Having started as an intern in Apco Worldwide’s digital team, I am happy to have been recognised and promoted to several roles (account executive, senior account executive and account manager) in a short period of time. I am grateful to have worked on some key clients with impactful campaigns. My biggest highlight was leading on digital content for some really high-level events that advocate for change – for the UAE Innovation Month, Pope Francis’ visit to the UAE, Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week, Qudwa Teachers’ Forum, International Day of Persons with Disabilities led by the Public Authority for Disability in Kuwait in partnership with United Nations Development Programme in Kuwait.

Guiding principles

My father taught me two things: always be emotionally aware and never compromise on quality.

Dream job

Independent art curator.

Side hustle

My side hustle is selling minimalistic line drawings. I would not have ever thought of this. I got into when I enrolled in the College of Art, Architecture and Design and enjoyed it since then.
