Aakriti Goel, strategy & data director, Cheil: Ruchi joined us as a young, curious, fearless intern, and has since grown to become a data strategy powerhouse. She took on the task of turning data, often misconstrued as dull and mundane, into beautiful insights and stories. Her innate desire to find solutions, combined with her can-do attitude, has made her the trusted go-to for the many data tools the agency and clients rely on. While it’s the first time she has been featured in a magazine, it most definitely will not be her last.
Career highlights
After completing my undergraduate studies in Ohio, I moved back to Dubai not knowing what’s out there for me. In 2017, I started my career at Cheil MEA as a simple data analyst intern, thinking there will be some other field I could excel in. However, thanks to all the supportive, guiding people in my life and the constantly changing digital world, I discovered my passion in big data analytics, growing to be a Data Strategist delivering data-driven strategies to multiple global brands. The next phase in my career path is to gain a MSc degree in Strategy and Big Data.
Guiding principles
Be the Swiss Army knife of the company even if it means going out of your comfort zone.
Dream job
Initially, I wanted to be a cryptographer because I was obsessed with the way crimes were solved with different kinds of technologies.
Side hustle
I believe I got my mom’s artistic genes and delved into painting. Whenever I get the chance, I try to de-stress with my paints.
