APCO wins Etisalat’s public relations brief

Etisalat has named APCO Worldwide as its public relations agency of record following a competitive pitch.
The appointment brings the UAE telco’s review of all its agency partners to a conclusion, with Initiative retaining Etisalat’s media account earlier this month. In January the telco consolidated its creative advertising account into Impact BBDO following a protracted review.

APCO will work closely with the corporate communications team at Etisalat to help the Abu Dhabi-based telco achieve sustained business growth.

Ali Al Ahmed, chief corporate communication officer at Etisalat, said: “As we gear up to enter a new phase in the company’s 36-year history, we are looking forward to upholding our status as pioneers in telecom services.

Our communication requirements have matured exponentially, which led to the pursuit of a strategic partner that can provide adequate support to maintain our growth trajectory.”

Mamoon Sbeih, managing director for the Arab region at APCO, said: “Our unified effort at APCO will be to create value by pushing the boundaries of communication to convey Etisalat’s outstanding success to all stakeholders and build stronger brand awareness for the company.”
