Aegis launches iProspect in the region

Aegis Media is to roll-out iProspect, the network’s digital performance marketing shop, into the Middle East and North Africa region.

The new agency will be headquartered at Aegis Media’s Dubai Media City HQ and will introduce a complete suite of digital marketing services, including online customer conversion strategies, comparison shopping engines, conversion optimisation and search engine optimisation, among other offerings to clients in the region.

The local operation will be headed by Fredrik Schauman, who has been appointed managing director. Schauman joins iProspect from Bates PanGulf (BPG), where he was chief operations officer. It is not yet known how many staff will join the agency and it is yet to confirm whether any regional clients are already on board.

The launch of iProspect adds to the digital capabilities already offered by Aegis Media through its creative agency Isobar, which launched in the region in May of last year, and media agency Carat. With the addition of iProspect, Aegis Media’s plan is to aim for an integrated offering across all communication platforms.

Michael Nederlof, CEO of Aegis Media MENA, said: “Internet penetration is so high search engine optimisation will increase by over 50 per cent in the next three years. So iProspect is a pivotal addition to the Aegis Media family and a welcome arrival for brands operating in the Middle East and North African market.”

The agency was founded in 1996 and operates 39 offices in 28 markets, with more than 800 employees worldwide.
