The concept, originally created by Absolut in collaboration with TBWA\Chiat\Day in New York, involves artists and designers using the brand’s iconic bottle as a blank canvas to create original pieces of art over the course of two days.
Absolut has always challenged convention through creative collaborations with artists such as Andy Warhol, Keith Haring, Damien Hirst and, more recently, Ellen von Unwerth and Spike Jonze. Absolut Blank represents a variety of creative disciplines from across the globe; from drawing, painting and sculpting to film making and digital art.
“Absolut has a long creative heritage and has supported and collaborated with budding creative enthusiasts,” said Catriona Ryan, brand manager at Absolut. “We look forward to further building on our relationship with the grassroots creative community in Dubai for the upcoming Absolut Blank installation where Absolut is a catalyst for creativity.
“We will challenge local creativity to interpret the campaign by using the blank canvas to personify and express the brand while bringing the creative DNA to life and become part of the global movement.”
The local creative community will be invited to interpret the campaign by using the blank canvas to personify and express the brand, while bringing the creative DNA to life and becoming part of the global movement.
