JWT Cairo has won a grand prix at one of the most prestigious strategic advertising awards in the world.
The agency walked off with one of only two grands prix awarded and also struck gold at the Jay Chiat Awards for Strategic Excellence in Advertising. The accolades were for JWT Cairo’s ‘Fakka’ campaign for Vodafone Egypt, making it the most awarded piece of work in the MENA region this year. Memac Ogilvy & Mather Dubai also picked up a silver at the awards for its Sprite Cricket Stars.
Vatche Keverian, CEO at JWT MENA, said: “The Fakka campaign has garnered the most awards for a single idea from any agency in the MENA region, putting the JWT Cairo client-agency team on the global planning and innovation map.”
The campaign also won a gold at the APG Creative Strategy Awards at the end of last month. Memac Ogilvy & Mather also won gold at the same awards.
The ‘Fakka’ campaign has won 13 international awards in total so far this year, including a gold and silver Lion at Cannes in June, and a grand prix at the Dubai Lynx in March this year.
