The Royal Opera House Muscat is set to open on 14 October with Franco Zeffirelli’s production of Puccini’s Turandot, conducted by Spanish tenor Plácido Domingo. • It is a real pity that despite there being a very successful TBWA\ office in Muscat with a good creative reputation, the regional head office decided to take this forward without their involvement. The Opera House is a jewel in the crown of Oman and it is sad that the local agency wasn’t able to be part of it. Sadly, I suspect this is a common occurrence.
