Career highlights

I started my career in the media agency business more than six years ago, and I think now is the most exciting time that I can remember. When I started, media was not the most glamorous part of the ad industry. We were the numbers guys. And then came along digital, social, content, data, etc. and the game changed. Today, I find myself talking directly to the consumer, creating content that I hope they will like and actually seeing the results of our hard work in real time. I have had the privilege to work across a number of great campaigns, the latest being the winner of YouTube’s The Lantern Award: for Maybelline, L’Oréal Middle East.

Guiding principles

“Gratitude always beats discontentment.” Someone will always have more than you, no matter how hard you work. Enjoy what you have.

Dream job

I believe I had different ‘dream jobs’ at various stages of my life, so chasing the idea of my dream job is something that I can spend my whole life doing. For me a dream job is engaging day-by-day, hour-by-hour work that draws me in, holds my attention and gives me a sense of flow. Yet, that on its own is not enough to define my dream job; it has to be also meaningful and productive in the sense of helping others, and the key is to get good at something that helps other people.

Side hustle

Teaching fitness classes. I have always loved fitness classes and I have so much more respect for fitness instructors now. It is a lot of work to get the music, plan your routine and inspire people to become better versions of themselves. I am currently planning to get certified so I can take on this challenge.
