Age: 25
Career path: Cairo, Egypt, the beautiful chaos. This is where I started my career as an intern. With no doubt, the city built a strong advertising persona in me. After all, advertising is in its DNA (there is a famous bridge in Cairo of 20.5km; there is a billboard every 1 meter). Fast-forward five years and I am now an account manager at FP7/McCann, where I manage two of the biggest FMCG brands in the region along with a great team. Great brands, great team, great agency. #Blessed.
Guiding principles
“The most powerful element in advertising is the truth”, once said by Bill Bernbach.
But I like to interpret things my way, so I am giving it a broader meaning: be true to the brand, be true to the client and be true to the consumer.
Dream job
Lawyer. Before moving to Dubai, I was actually considering going back to university to earn myself a bachelor’s degree.
Side hustle
I have recently discovered a passion for cooking. I can’t say it’s a side hustle yet because I don’t post about it and, as they say, ‘Did it even happen if it’s not on the ‘gram?’ So stay tuned…
