Amer El Hajj has been promoted to chief investment officer at Publicis Media from his previous role of executive vice-president of group trading & commercial managing director.
The announcement comes as Publicis Media’s Starcom Middle East has been appointed to handle Dubai Corporation for Tourism & Commerce Marketing (DCTCM), following a competitive tendering process.
El Hajj started his career at Mediavest and rapidly grew into a key member of the organisation as he helped to guide the early growth of Mediavest across MENA, before taking reponsbility for the portfolio of Publicis Media trading and investments.
A company statement said: “El Hajj’s knowledge and foresight has been the backbone for the strategic vision that guides the investment decisions across the Publicis Media portfolio and the market-leading execution of its commercial practice, propelling the growth of Publicis Media as the leading Agency Network in MENA.”
The DCTCM scope of work includes the entire media mandate of Dubai Tourism for the GCC and regional media including social. It will include promoting the emirate as a prime destination for tourism, entertainment, events and global business.
