United Arab Emirates-based media sales representative The MediaVantage has won the exclusive contract to represent all titles published by News UK.

The MediaVantage won the contract following a multi-representative pitch and will handle the business from its head office in Dubai. News UK is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the American mass media conglomerate News Corp, which was founded by media mogul Rupert Murdoch.

The contract awards The MediaVantage the exclusive rights to sell advertising and commercial opportunities in The Times, The Sunday Times, TimesOnline.co.uk, and The Sunday Times Travel Magazine to clients and media agencies in the Middle East.

Dominic Carter, chief commercial officer at News UK, said: “The Middle East is an important market to us and we are committed to offering innovative and customised solutions to our clients. The MediaVantage impressed us with their knowledge, creative thinking and commitment to delivering best possible media solutions to the client base in the region. With this new alliance we are convinced that we have found the right partners for this market to handle our commercial interests.”

The MediaVantage is run by managing director Manoj Khimji.
